Summary: | Electronics industry is the top exporting industry of the Philippines, this research investigated on the various parameters that strengthen an industry's manufacturing capabilities. Remodeling in the Hayes Wheelwright Four Stage Framework, it evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of the electronics industry as to its structural and infrastructural components of the operations strategy. An industry-wide benchmarking was identified to help individual firm position its strategic fit into the manufacturing capability map. This research study evaluated variables associated with manufacturing strategy effectiveness and the findings of this dissertation showed that the strategic changes in company profiles and management resources could make a strategic shift of its leadership position in accordance with the industry norm. |
