The study based on data collected from fifty business managers presently enrolled at the De La Salle Graduate School of Business examined the relationships between the practice of ethics in the workplace and the business manager's formal education in business ethics, cognitive moral reasoning and level of spiritual intelligence. The data were analyzed using path analysis. Path analysis was used to study patterns of causation among the set of variables. The results of the analysis revealed the absence of a causal effect between formal education in business ethics to ethical practice in the workplace. However, the results of the study showed that ethical practice in the workplace is determined by cognitive moral reasoning and two of the seven factors of spiritual intelligence that include mindfulness and intellectuality. This study provides academic scholars and practitioners with an empirically tested evaluation of practice of ethics in the workplace. 2004-11-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_doctoral/47 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1046&context=etd_doctoral Dissertations English Animo Repository Education--Curricula Work ethic Business ethics Professional ethics Business Administration, Management, and Operations Educational Leadership
