Existential vacuum is manifested by the experience of emptiness, boredom, loneliness, and lack of interest/purpose in life. The study employed the N=1 single case research which was replicated four times with one control client. The technique worked through the unconscious minds of the clients to help them realize and experience their strengths and capabilities. This realization helped them overcome the existential vacuum. The effectiveness of the treatment was judged by: 1. The differences between the pre and posttest results of Purpose in Life and Incomplete Sentence Blank and 2. Reports of clients and significant others, and their ratings on the Rating Scale, and my own perception. A special feature of this study was the presence of an independent inquirer during the audio tape recall of the treatment session. The client and researcher gained new insights on the feelings and behaviors of the clients during the sessions. 1991-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_doctoral/672 Dissertations English Animo Repository Psychotherapy Self-actualization Women--Psychology Counseling Self- evaluation Neurolinguistic programming Counseling Psychology
