Their ages range from 25 to 35 years. At random, these 100 individuals were administered the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation Behavior Scale (FIRO-B). Among them ten students who had highest scores and ten students who had lowest scores were chosen and administered the Rorschach Inkblot Test.Descriptive statistics, such as correlation matrix and pair-wise correlation, were computed based on the scores on the Rorschach Inkblot Test and the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation Behavior Scale to examine the significant relationship in the scores on the construct of interpersonal relationship. To examine the difference between the two groups who had scored highest and lowest on the FIRO-B in their scores on the Rorschach Inkblot Test, t-value was computed. The findings of the study were: (1) The first hypothesis stating that there is a significant relationship between the interpersonal relationship scores of the respondents as revealed by the Rorschach Inkblot Test and the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation Behavior Scale (FIRO-B) was accepted. This proves that interpersonal relationship in the Rorschach Inkblot Test has criterion validity.(2) The second hypothesis that there is a significant difference in the interpersonal relationship scores between the two groups who had scored highest and lowest on the Rorschach Inkblot Test was partially accepted, thereby proving that interpersonal relationship in the FC of the Rorschach Inkblot Test has construct validity. The content analysis showed a qualitative difference in the quality of contents between the two groups who have scored highest and lowest on the FIRO-B in their scores on the Rorschach Inkblot Test.Based on the findings, it was concluded that the Rorschach Inkblot Test has criterion validity. Therefore, in the field of counseling and research it can be used as another measure. The elements on interpersonal relationship have construct validity in the Rorschach Inkblot Test. 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_doctoral/771 Dissertations English Animo Repository Interpersonal relations Rorchach test Projective techniques Tests and scales--Validity Educational Psychology Social Psychology |
