The participants of the study were 20 Filipino parents with gay sons aged 13 to 19. Parent's age ranged from 32 to 61 with a Mean of 46 .Participants were selected from Metro Manila utilizing purposive sampling procedure. Using the Consensus Qualitative Research (CQR) Design, data collection was done using in-depth interviews and case study methods. Twenty cases (10 fathers and 10 mothers) were analyzed using the standard procedure of the CQR method. Findings indicate that Parents of Filipino gay adolescents went through a variety of stressors, and made use of various coping resources available to them such as faith and family support .They used various strategies such as prayer , gaining knowledge , self pity and blaming others etc… to deal with the stressors and arrived at a variety of experiences, which included, enhanced relationships , supportive parenting styles , conflicting relationships and dysfunctional parenting styles. The participants adopted different parenting strategies at these stages of their experience.
