Summary:Name of the Firm: THRIFTY LOGS, INC. Head Office and Plant Site: 123 Kaingin Street, Balintawak, Quezon City. Brief Description of the Project. The present study relates to a project to establish a wood-waste briquetting plant to produce wood briquettes which are used as fuel energy in industries. The firm intends to process dry sawdust waste, with a moisture content of 10% to 15%, into compressed solid cylindrical briquettes. Raw materials supply of dry sawdust is assured by Statewood Export Corporation which has a lumber supply agreement with Liberty Logging Corporation. The project involves an initial factory capacity of processing dry sawdust into briquettes of 400 metric tons per month, graduated into an annual production of 6 months for the first year of operations and twelve (12) months for the second and subsequent years. Total cost of the project will be TWO MILLION FOUR HUNDRED PESOS (P2,400,000.00). Financing requirements of the project will come from local borrowings of ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (P 1,200,000.00) and likewise from equity financing of ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (1,200,000.00).
