Robotics and computer software technology have always been mutually exclusive of each other. Robotics usually use a low level computer languages while high-level software applications have been limited in its use of controlling robotics hardware. Both technologies have not yet been widely accepted. Our vision is to integrate both Robotics and Virtual Reality to bring about a new kind of synergism with both technologies. This integration will make it easier to control Robotics systems by using a Virtual Reality Interface in a Windows environment. The Virtual Reality Interface will then bring about the wide acceptance of both technologies because of its appeal as an intuitive and user-friendly technology.
