Description
Summary:Abstract. The Scalable HTTP Cache Server System aims to improve the response time in the Internet and also minimize traffic congestion in the local subnet. Retrieval of HTTP pages is the main cause of congested traffic flow in the net. Its scalability feature aims to ensure the capability of adding cache servers to extend its storage capacity when needed. This document is written explanation of how Scalable HTTP Cache Server System was developed. The first chapter tells about how did Scalable HTTP Cache Server System was conceptualized, the objectives of the system and its limitations. The second chapter discusses the related theories that were used to develop the system. The third chapter discusses about the proposed system. It elaborates the design of the system, its architecture and features, and relates it with the theories that were discussed in Chapter 2. Chapter 4 discusses the experimentations and analysis of the results. The last chapter presents the conclusion and recommendation of the project.
