The system analyzes Braille characters and converts it to its corresponding voice equivalent. An optical scanner is used to capture Braille characters. An I/O control interface is used to act as a user control. Scan, play, space, clear and exit are simulated using the I/O control interface. Using image processing the captured image will be converted to its binary from and further analyzed. Analysis of the binary image is achieved through the computation of the images different properties. The computer then recognized the Braille character and converts it to its equivalent text. The text-to-speech engine, that has a built-in voice synthesizer, is used to convert the letters or formed words into an audio voice output.
