Priscelina Patajo Legasto's concept of postcolonialism and Marjorie Evasco's feminism are used to analyze the six chosen texts. The analysis is divided into the three broad themes of Pantoja Hidalgo's travels: fascination, alienation, and reconsideration. This pattern, which resembles a journey, illustrates the travel writer's alignment with or against the West/Patriarchy.
