Summary:This paper discusses the factors affecting the flow of Filipino emigrants to the major destination countries for the years 1991 to 2000, which highlights the factors through empirical methods using the pooled data that were gathered. The study aims to show the flows of emigrants from the Philippines to the major destination countries for the years 1991-2000 through graphs where it is concluded that most of the Filipino emigrants move to the United States of America. The study also aims to present the factors which affect the migration of Filipinos abroad, which were all based on economic theories. Analyses, explanation and insights were stated in this paper regarding the influence and effect of the determinants of migration to the recent movements of Filipino emigrants.
