The proponents aimed to improve the packaging industry of the country by automating the packaging process of Creative Resource System Corporation (CRSC). The automated pre-sealing machine focused on reducing the workforce that is needed for packaging 2.5 kilo powdered detergents from twelve down to just two workers. The proponents gave emphasis on the mechanical part of the whole conveyor by designing specifically to suit the needs of the company. By integrating a weighing -filling machine, it eliminated the weight checking process that creates a bottleneck in the assembly line. The filled bags are then passed to the conveyor system with grooved rollers to flatten the bags evenly, thus automatically translating the bags to the band sealer. This machine also reduced the amount of space that was required to perform the packaging process thereby, reducing the costs of labor, maximizing the use of company resources, and increasing production output. 2005-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_honors/302 Honors Theses English Animo Repository Seals (Closures) Sealing industry Packaging Packaging machinery |
