It will be done by automating a lathe machine that is already owned by the Manufacturing Engineering and Management Department. The group will make the Boxford 125 Training Computer Lathe (TCL) Machine functional and operational once again. The group would also upgrade the machine by incorporating new electronic circuits and by allowing the machine to operate with the aid of a personal computer. A software application will drive the stepper motors on both the x and z axes, while the DC motor will drive the spindle. Another versatility of the machine is that it could be operated on both the manual and computer mode. As for the manual mode, the user could simply use the built-in control panel on the right side of the machine. This all put together will hopefully achieve the objective of the group. 2000-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_honors/322 Honors Theses English Animo Repository Lathes--Numerical control
