Only a few economists are interested in the economic aspects of peace and order in general and crime prevention in particular. The political and economic implications of crime prevention are, perhaps, so overwhelming, that economists are not encouraged to investigate the economic consequences of the effects of crime. This is also true for the economic solutions for cirme prevention. Several questions are of interest for economists, such as the impact of the increase in number of policemen and percentage of the local population, growth of the economy, unemployment, inflation and etc. on crime. This paper deals only with the present economy factors that affect crime in general and consequently help in its prevention. The main concern is how factors such as those mentioned above could be addressed and solve if it can be shown that they are the dominant factors that impact on crime volume. This study will attemp to establish such link. 2003-01-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/3214 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=10052&context=etd_masteral Master's Theses English Animo Repository Crime prevention Criminal statistics Social problems Economics |
