This paper examines the Metro Manila gym goers and their willingness to purchase creatine supplement. Primary data for the study was gathered from the top three gyms in Metro Manila (Slimmer's World, Fitness First, and Golds Gym) using systematic random sampling. For the research design, descriptive and causal research was used, while the statistical tools used were Chi-square and Pearson correlation. The findings of this study showed that there is no significant relationship between a gym goers state of health (fear being unfit in the future, sickly, weak, out of shape), age, social class and his willingness to purchase creatine supplement. However, cues to action, perceived benefits, perceived barriers and sex proved to be significant. Niche marketing on creatine is recommended and based on the study the target market should be male, eighteen to fifty years old, belonging to class A, B and upper C, who have been working out for at least six months and who fears being unfit in the future. This study can be applied to other dietary supplements, dietary supplements in general or other nutraceuticals. 2006-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/3383 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Creatine--Physiological effect Dietary supplements |
