PBX system to IP-based PBX system. The study had the following objectives: 1) To implement a cost effective and efficient means of communication system using an IP-based PBX system within NEC premises. 2) To deliver the same quality of voice and data transmission within NEC interconnection system. 3) To develop a flexible solution for open networks, delivering value-added capabilities and quality of service to the customers and staff. 4) To allow the trainee to put into practice her engineering profession and to expose herself into actual implementation. Data derived from the study conducted are divided into four chapters: The first chapter discusses NEC profile including its organizational structure and products. The next chapter presents the nature of the practicum program embarked by the trainee. This section summarizes the practicum activities and the type of training performed at the Enterprise Solution Network Group. Furthermore this chapter discusses other related topics of the existing system of NEC Philippines. The succeeding chapter delves on the study performed, which explains the operation involved in the migration of the new system of NEC Philippines. The last chapter summarizes the practicum project and reveals the conclusion and its corresponding recommendations based on the study conducted. |
