| Summary: | The Philippines is considered as one of the best garment manufacturers in Asia. Investors choose to open sites in the country because of the skills of the Filipino people. Accessibility of ports and government mandates to support the industry makes the country an ideal investment capital for manufacturing of garments for the apparel industry. Low labor wages compared to first world countries and high quality of finished products results competitive advantage of the country versus the offerings of the neighboring Asian competitors.
NBSUN is a Korean company which started operations in 2005, manufacturing garments for branded apparel companies with high regard to quality. The company is located at PEZA, an area organized by the government for foreign investment and manufacturing. Companies located in these economic zones are temporary exempted from certain government tax for a given number of years.
This paper will assist the company in analyzing the external environment versus the company's capabilities and proposed strategies to strengthen its position in the industry.
This paper identified the company's strategic vision and corporate objectives. Strategies were created to improve NBSUNs advantage. Tasks for functional areas and the strategy were enumerated for implementation and frameworks were used for each module. |
