Background De La Salle- College of Saint Benilde (CSB), a nonstock, nonprofit educational organization, has gone a long way to what it is today, eighteen years to be exact. From the humble beginnings of just an academic unit known as the College for Career Development of De La Salle Manila University (DLSU), and renamed as the Community College, then in 1988 inaugurated as DLSU- College of Saint Benilde. It was in 1994 that it became as autonomous college, since then, the College has gathered from strength to strength, making milestone after milestone as the years go by. Now, CSB has marked another milestone, as it envisioned a home for a new generation of Filipino artists and designers who are equipped with technical expertise and global competencies by opening the third campus in a new 14th floor building called, School of Design and Arts (SDA) building. Vision-Mission Why does CSB keep on building campus? This is because of their mission to create and nurture a learning climate promoting success through mutual support and respect for all learners. As a learner-centered institution, they recognize diversity by addressing various needs, interests, and cultures. Guided by the Lasallian principles of faith, zeal in service, and communion in mission, they recognize the uniqueness of every individual and responds to the diverse needs of all learners.
