Will the semiconductor industry continue to cycle?
Day in day out we see different applications that we unknowingly see that ON Semiconductor Philippines, Inc. turn those technologies on. We use our cell phones, watch television, make use of our personal computers, ride our cars, and apply workstations, servers, and high-speed modems with our products.
The high technology around us has still a strong demand despite some analysts saying that the age of computers has reached its maturity stage. Though they would someday fade but they would eventually be replaced by another set of sophisticated technology. Then, the cycle continues. There would always be a space for improvement and development
Looking back as early as 2001, the Philippine condition has always been unsatisfactory. There are political instability, economic downturn, and environmental disturbances. This is proven by some selected macroeconomic indicators. Yet, the Philippines survived.
A part from the expected growth of the Philippines, there would be a potentially high growth in the semiconductor industry. Though the semiconductor industry is cyclical in behavior, ON Semiconductor Philippines, Inc. is now ready to face the future for its employees, suppliers, customers and government. The Company has prepared its strategic agenda challenging the semiconductor industry as it continues to improve.
ON Semiconductor Philippines, Inc. will have a solid progress beyond 2007. |
