Summary:The rapid development of the Internet and the World Wide Web (WWW) has enabled many services that traditionally required face-to-face contacts to be delivered on-line. It has been nearly three years since elementary schools adopted School Free Software in Changhua County. This research studies the current application of School Free Software in elementary schools located in Changhua County and investigates the potential factors which may affect its acceptance. This research applies Technology Acceptance Model as theoretical foundation, looked into relationships between SFS related variables (system characteristics, management support, hardware support, and external assistance) and perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude toward system use. Literature study and questionnaires were used in this research. Elementary School Teachers School Free Software Acceptance Questionnaire is the research instrument. Respondents are 180 elementary school teachers who have experiences of using SFS in Changhua. The data from questionnaires were processed and analyzed by SPSS for Windows Version16.0. Statistical methods used include descriptive statistics, t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson r correlation and regression analysis. The findings are summarized below: 1. The significant difference exists among different educational background of teachers on perceived Ease of Use and System Use Intention. 2. The significant difference exists among different serving years of teachers on perceived Ease of Use. 3. There is a significant difference between male and female teachers on Management Support, and male teachers have higher score than female teachers. 4. Significant positive relationship exit: a.) between system characteristics, management support, external assistance and perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and intention and b.) between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and system use intention. 5.
