Summary: | The study established the conceptual framework of the development programs of the faculty for Urios College and proposed a set of operational procedures for the effective carrying out of the objectives of the program in harmony with the general institutional goals. Pointers which served as guides in writing the proposal had to do with objectives, target groups, beneficiary groups and the activities and resources needed. The proposal concluded by stating that planning is vital in any institution. A broad and long-range planning process links the school with the society. It further guides the school to maximize the utility of its meager resources. Faculty growth and development can only be met through a well-planned and carefully organized program. To be effective it should provide for just working conditions which help boost the morale of the faculty. Participation of the faculty in the deliberations on the plans for faculty development is necessary. This is participative democracy which greatly helps the faculty morale. Participation of the Urios College faculty and staff in the deliberation of this proposal was real though limited. The proposal shall be submitted to the administration and staff for further discussions and deliberations, improvement and refinement before implementation. |
