Description
Summary:This study puts into writing the practices, policies and procedures that would serve as guidelines for administrators, faculty and other school personnel in their daily efforts to attain the goals and objectives of the school. The study is descriptive in nature. The respondents of this study were the principal and the twelve teachers of Maryknoll High School of Asuncion, Davao. Data were gathered through the use of a questionnaire. The responses were tabulated and the percentages computed to determine the specific job descriptions and functions of the administrators and teachers, school policies, procedures and practices that should be embodied in the handbook. Findings of the study indicate that the respondents unanimously favor or agree all the proposed policies included in the checklist. Finally, a model of the proposed organizational set-up is presented. It defines the roles and functions of various offices in the administrative set-up and of individual teacher. The model also enunciates the policies governing the faculty and outlines the rights, privileges and their duties.
