Summary: | The Holy Angels High School is the pilot school chosen for the implementation of the Christian formation program of the prelature. If this program is successfully implemented in Holy Angels High School, it will be recommended for implementation in the other prelature schools. But, there is the difficulty of implementation in a large scale due to constraints such as a lack of qualified teachers to handle it, methodology is entirely new, there are not enough classrooms to accommodate the students, the expectations of both the principal and the religion coordinator were not clearly defined, there was lack of understanding of roles, functions, and responsibilities and the faculty members were discontented and indifferent to the program as a result of lack of thorough orientation before implementing it. In addition, there was communication gap between Ms. Del Sol and Sr. Mary which resulted in a lack of harmonious collaboration to the common task that was theirs. Fr. Devino, the school director is confronted with the problem of either keeping the efficient Ms. Elvira del Sol as principal and accepting Sr. Marys resignation or removing Ms. Del Sol from principalship and allowing Sr. Mary to continue implement the Christian formation program the way she thinks best. This particular case illustrates the difficulties that beset an organization when functions and responsibilities are not clearly defined they end up in conflicts of relationships. The problem is both administrative and behavioral. On the latter part of the paper, alternative actions in solution to the problem were recommended. |
