With the coming of the 60s however, the new schools entered the city and have strongly established themselves academically, so that students flocked to these schools. As a consequence, enrollment in Marian High School dropped to almost half in the 70s. Teachers have been pirated and offered higher salaries, thus the slow denudation of talented faculty. Nevertheless, a number of old teachers struggle it out, through thick and thin in the school out of loyalty and good companionship. But the problem is, every year, theres a new principal, new faces, new system, new policies, new rules, new regulations.
