Summary: | The study confined itself to the assessment of work system and employee commitment as related to employee performance. The method involved relating work system and employee commitment and their individual correlations to employee performance. Results of the tests showed that all variables studied are interrelated with residual evidence on employee performance. Significant values were observed on the tests of correlation conducted. Qualitative data derived from interviews conducted reinforced specific points of work system that are desired and the acts of loyalty that are both felt and exhibited as evidences of employee commitment. All employees had only Very Satisfactory and Outstanding performances based on the three-way ratings conducted annually on employees in the office. Further studies are recommended to expand the bases of the study and to explore the influences and bearings of other variables on employee performance. Future studies must likewise expand the sampling bases and cover both public and private organizations and analyze both commonalities and differences from two different settings. |
