Description
Summary:In the recent decades, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has significantly increased both in academia and practice. And in the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), like most other corporations, it recognizes the positive impacts of CSR both to the institution and to its stakeholders. My action research is focused on how can I contribute and improve the CSR initiatives of the BSP San Fernando Branch, which will encourage employee engagement and produce sustainable impacts. The change in CSR was made by subscribing to the Triple Bottom Line framework (TBL) of John Elkington. In TBL the performance of the company is measured in three accounts, namely, Planet, People, and Profit or the environmental performance, social performance and economic performance, respectively. My Action Research methodology was supplemented by the following frameworks: two dimensions of organizational change by Nadler and Tushman, the modified model of Beckhard and Harriss Change-Management Process, Lewins Force Field Analysis, complete theory of action research of Shani and Pasmore and ORJI. The CSR implemented was entitled Bisikleta Para Sa Barya. After the event, I assessed the impact of intervention in improving the CSR programs of the BSP San Fernando Branch both personally and as an employee. I also reflected on how the entire process of my action research changed my view on Corporate Social Responsibility.
