The main challenge for a leader, such as myself as a manager, is to manage well my small team regardless of the limitations in manpower or other resources. This action research demonstrated the relation of implementing a corporate leadership style and its effect on employee motivation in an organization that practices a Lean Six Sigma Methodology. The results indicated the improvement gained in effectively managing people, which specifically addressed the problem related to employee work motivation and group performance. A manager must provide the necessary tools in ensuring that employees are happy and motivated at work. This requires exhaustive effort on the part of the leader especially when the team is relatively new and requires specialized skills.
