This study employs a descriptive design. This is a quantitative study using survey questionnaires. A total of at least 125 paddlers with different gender orientations in different dragon boat teams in Metro-Manila were chosen through a non-probability method. This study reveals motivating factors are strong enough to drive an individual to what he or she wants without the need to affirm his/ her decisions by external sources such as economic status, social support etc. Dragon boating participation has also been found to affect physical health and sexual behaviours of paddlers. These findings may aid dragon boating enthusiasts, paddlers, and other concerned groups and may provide new avenues for more researches in the field of sports sociology. 2014-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/4705 Master's Theses English Animo Repository |
