Description
Summary:This action research is focused on addressing low trust in teams as the underlying issue to gossip in the workplace. Through collaborative reflection and confrontive inquiry, the action researcher identified low trust as the underlying issue that needs to be addressed in order to prevent the negative impact of gossip on work relationships and productivity in the Product Management Group (PMG) of Astellas Pharma Philippines, Inc., the Philippine subsidiary of a global research-driven manufacturer of ethical drugs. The results of the action researchers collaborative inquiry suggested that a teambuilding intervention should be done so that the members of the department may explore one anothers trustworthiness and develop high trust for each other. This proposal was presented to and was agreed upon by the management.
