Summary: | AsianLogic Limited continued to issue company mobile phone to its employees. Without standard policies and procedures, the company's mobile communications expenses were uncontrollable and employee concerns were difficult to manage. In respond to this, the action intended in this paper is to find solutions on how to address the mobile communication issues through constructing and implementing a set of mobile phone policy. The project was given to me by the Chief Finance Department as a key member of the Administration Department. The methodology I applied in this research are Coghlan and Brannicks action research methods (2014) which includes the Three Voices of Action Research, Journaling through ORJI, and The Action Research Cycle. The Action Research Cycle involves constructing the issue, planning action, taking action and evaluating the action. In implementing the policy, I used The Process of Change Cycle by Coghlan and Brannick (2014). The paper also discussed how I addressed role duality and organizational politics in my organization. To attain the objectives of the research, the collaborators in this project constructed a monthly mobile communication allowance matrix and an efficient billing distribution process. We also implemented a new phone matrix and a standard mobile phone policy in the company. The implementation of the action research resulted to increase in productivity and efficiency in the Administration Department. The result also reduced the monthly mobile communication costs of AsianLogic. |
