This study began through our teams experience with the review of compliance on petty cash custodians with an amended policy and guideline. Results show that only up to 10% of custodians fully complied with the policy. The purpose of this paper is to understand and identify the possible improvement in terms of compliance with policies and procedures in a University setting. Action research is used as the method for this project and used the experience related to petty cash policy and guidelines as the point of reference. The project involved the analysis of the review results, discussion with the custodians, consultation with the Risk Management, Compliance, and Audit (RMCA) team, and with the policy owner/implementer. Enforcement of the policy is identified as the root cause for the non-compliance. For this project, the team aimed to identify the improvements needed in this area together with the policy owner. 2015-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/4816 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etd_masteral/article/11654/filename/0/type/additional/viewcontent/CDTG005922_F.pdf Master's Theses English Animo Repository
