To address them, medical experts have recommended short regular exercises in the office as the most cost-effective solution (Mehrparvar, 2014). By taking a few minutes to stretch muscles stressed by repetitive motions and sedentary work, one can relieve muscle tension and restore healthy blood flow in them, reducing ones risk to RSI. Chevron Holdings Incorporated (CHI), internally known as Manila Shared Services Center, is a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, a leading global energy company. CHI currently supports the Finance, HR, Procurement, Downstream and Information Technology functions of all Chevron subsidiaries located across the world.CHI greatly values the personal health and safety of its employees, as reflected in the companys vision and value statement.In line its values, the companys Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) team has developed a program consisting of regular short exercises in the office for its employees to reduce the risk of RSI. However, my team, ITSM Services, is not participating actively in the said program. This action research project led to the identification and resolution of the root cause. In doing so, the project validated the positive correlation of goal clarity and accountability with positive action from the employee.
