Summary:Cyberbullying is a phenomenon that came with the rise of telecommunications and the internet. It has already been the topic of many researches in different countries. Cyberbullying related-studies in the Philippines, on the other hand, are scarce. As such, this study aims to contribute more information on the issue of cyberbullying in the Philippines by describing how Filipino adolescents experience cyberbullying, their responses and their coping strategies. Nine adolescent participants, who were victims of cyberbullying, were interviewed about their experiences. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data themes on the aspects of their experiences, their responses and coping strategies were gathered and presented in this paper. In analyzing the data gathered, it was found out that the victims accessed the internet almost everyday for a considerable period of time. The use of hurtful words and images, and impersonation were the most common types of cyberbullying. Among the responses, negative emotions, social withdrawal and negative effects on academic performance were apparent among the respondents. To cope with cyberbullying victimization, Filipino adolescents sought help from others, applied technical precautions or avoided their bullies.
