Summary:Amidst the rising tide of globalization and the socio-political and economic struggles that accompany it, the role stories and storytelling plays in a society cannot be undervalued, both from an educational and from a cultural perspective. Thus, this project aims to contribute to the preservation and promotion of indigenous literature by collecting, classifying and analyzing folk narratives from Nueva Ecija, the largest province in Central Luzon and the Rice Granary of the Philippines.
