This integrated action research addressed the issue on empowering low level-managers for XY company where I am a part of. The objective is to allow front line managers to use their decision-making skills and exert their authority over their subordinates. Since the power of low level managers is limited, the study aims to enhance the leadership skills of the front line managers and allow them to grow as individuals. At the same time, it also aims to improve the companys efficiency by minimizing occurrences of mistakes or errors. I looked into employee empowerment as a means of achieving this. Kurt Lewins Change Management framework was used as the model for change. I used the concepts of triangulation to gather and affirm data and frameworks like Scheins ORJI model, Ladder of Inference, Left-Hand Column analysis, Scheins types of inquiry, Fisher and Torberts four parts of speech and a conceptual framework on employee empowerment. These tools aided in the completion of two action research cycles. The results or outcomes of the interventions minimized the delays in production or department turnover in the company. It gave the managers available information to execute decisions on their own. Most importantly, it developed a better relationship between the superiors and their subordinates and allowed them to grow as individuals. 2016-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/5157 Master's Theses English Animo Repository
