This action research project tracked the changes that our team experienced while participating in the ongoing upgrade of our Financial Tool and how it affected the members of our team during the process. The author interacted with various representatives from other organizations within the bank such as IT and Banking Centers. Along the way, numerous meetings and informal discussions were facilitated to help the users learn about the new system. With the banks overarching thrust to improve the quality of its client portfolio while ensuring sustained growth, this action research project was a timely exercise to help the Enterprise Risk Evaluation Divisions (ERED) members be more open to change and prepare themselves for the upcoming challenges with the recent strategic partnership of the bank with a foreign investor. Moving forward, the various frameworks for change management, Strategies and Motives for Resistance to Persuasion (SMRP), Kottlers 8 Step Model for Leadership Change and other journals helped unify the overall atmosphere of this paper and present a better picture of how management deals with resistance and how these can be changed to cooperation and collaboration.
