They provide various activities which promote civic participation that contributes to building stronger and better environment for the society in general. Unlike profit oriented companies, nonprofit organizations goal excludes maximization of shareholders value. Their operations are dependent on the donations and grants they received from various entities that support their advocacies and projects. As such, much attention are given to ensure that activities are carried out properly which could satisfy the donors and grantors. Administrative functions such as procurement, human resources and finance among others were not prioritized and are usually done based on what has been practiced which are mostly considered to be informal.
