The purpose of this action research (AR) is to address the lack of a deceased organ donation (DOD) program for The Hospital XYZ, which aims to improve awareness and understanding of the program. We went through three (3) AR Cycles of construction, planning action, taking action, and evaluating action, anchored upon the Action Research Cycle Design by Coghlan and Brannick (2014). Using the first-, second-, and third-person practice, we conducted co-inquiry and collaborative work throughout the Action Research. We yielded valuable insights and information based on learnings and realizations made during the process of conducting the research. The journey from the status quo to the implementation of the deceased organ donation program is manifested in the research. Other considerations for a deceased organ donation program was also discussed. This Action Research illustrates scholarly and realistic value to organizations aspiring to implement their own deceased organ donation program. The i-Donate Program may be used as a guide for establishing a similar program and improving awareness of deceased organ donation. The scope and limitations of the program are focused on the internal (physician, medical and non-medical) staff of The Hospital XYZ. Future plans to engage in an Organ Procurement Organization is not a part of this study. 2018-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/5496 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Donation of organs tissues etc |
