Summary: | The goal of EA is to restructure the enterprise to become more efficient, robust, and integrated. Establishing an Enterprise Architecture as a practice specific for IT Support of Academic Institutions with just theoretical awareness is a complex duties that touches process lines within the domain. In search of a systematic approach to shattering down this complex effort, this paper explores how an enterprise framework and its method, The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF 9.1) Architecture Development Method (ADM), specific to its Phase E. Opportunities and Solutions, can transition to perform the ITS Offices ideal target states. It examines the domains capabilities and services and illustrates how these elements can potentially drive the domain to adapt enterprise architecture and develop a roadmap for transitioning.
The author intends to uncover the sub-outputs necessary in transitioning from the current to the target states and demonstrate a step-by-step process of each transition to bring out the best functionalities of the capabilities and services determined to supply in the creation of the Enterprise Architecture roadmap for IT Support of the Academic Institutions. |
