This action research addressed the issue we've collaboratively identified as a Group which was the delayed submission of the central file of directors and officers monthly report. We've identified the causes and the delaying factors of the reports submission and worked from there as to how we can address the issue. The objective of the research was to enhance the prompt submission of the monthly report through continuously improving the process and as an expected result, the Group will experience no delays or zero late submissions going forward. We've applied the Change Management Model by Kurt Lewin as we implemented the changes. As an action researcher, triangulation of data during data generation was employed such as formal group discussions/meetings, informal gatherings and casual encounters during lunch and coffee breaks, historical data analysis, documents/emails and other forms of communication. Two cycles took place for this action research. Both had a set of interventions planned accordingly to fit the factors identified causing the delayed completion of the monthly task. For the first cycle, the main focus was on the part of the report contributors and the consolidator. While the second cycle focused on the latter part of the process, which is with the reviewers and the approver. The Group was able to successfully achieve the aspired outcome during the second cycle, and a third cycle was proposed to further improve the process and ensure consistency of timely submission in the succeeding months. This action paper was an adventure itself because of the challenges faced and learnings gained. It was a journey of self-exploration as I discovered more about myself and my potential as an individual and as a future Lasallian leader. 2018-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/5616 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Continuous improvement process Organizational change Personnel management |
