Summary: | This action research addressed the issue on lack of coordination among the concerned departments which had been causing the delayed submission of Trust Investment Reports to top management. To collect and validate data, our group used the concept of data triangulation, the ORJI model, The Ladder of Inference, and the 5-whys, among others. For the conceptual framework, we used the GRPI Model which stands for Goals, Roles, Processes and Interpersonal Relationships as a tool guide in enhancing these four critical aspects in our organization. This framework was used to help team members realign with what is most important for all, that is, to provide timely reports. Synchronization of expected dates for submission was used as an intervention in Cycle 1 to remove the conflict in the deadlines experienced by concerned departments. Clarification of roles and responsibilities of the different staff concerned was implemented in Cycle 2 to distinguish the persons or department responsible in providing trust investment documents needed for the preparation of Trust Investment Reports. These interventions improved the timeliness in the submission of Trust Investment Reports. |
