This action research project addressed the issue of CE3 Incorporated's lack of formal structure in the company. CE3 Incorporated is a family owned business founded in 2008 in the construction industry. It specializes foundation and steel works with around 30 regular employees. The issue becomes eminent whenever there are misunderstanding among the owners/top management and it trickles down to the employees who are left confused on whom to approach for approval/notice in their daily tasks. The lack of a formal structure in the organization hinders the employees from performing their roles and function effectively, a feature which is also lacking in the company. In the first cycle, the core group identified the issue using three voices such as ORJI, Argyris, Putnam, & Smiths ladder of inference and Scheins active inquiry process during the meetings. The group also identified the unique qualities of a family business using the Tagiuri and Davis Three-Circle Model of the Family Business and determined which stage it is in the Three- Dimensional Developmental Model by Gersick, Kelin E., John A. Davis, Marion McCollom Hampton, and Ivan Lansberg. To resolve the issue, a formalized structure in the company was introduced, together with the roles and responsibilities of the employees. In the second cycle, the concept of Family Constitution was introduced to the company to further improve its organization structure. Efren Cruz's guide for family businesses was used as a basis in creating CE3 Incorporated's family constitution. 2017-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/5722 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Construction industry Family-owned business enterprises
