Summary: | This action research addressed the issue of increasing CMS tickets due to lack of validation process in System A. System A is new introduced HR system in XY Global Services Philippines Inc,.We identified the issue through manifestations such as increasing number of CMS tickets raised, and the recurring missed SLA in CMS tickets. As an action insider researcher, I applied triangulation of data by using different methods both formal and informal settings such as team meeting, phone interviews, and informal talks. We used Kotters Eight Steps to Successful Change to enact change within the team. In Cycle, we identified the need to establish a validation process of employee data in System A such as compensation details, job details, location, and personal information. We cross checked the data in System A with the employee data from the current system being used by the company. Such intervention resulted in a decrease with the number of tickets raised and improved the efficiency of the team. In Cycle II, we realized that to achieve the data accuracy with System A, we need to collaborate with the managers. Hence, in Cycle II, we reached out to managers through emails to remind them to approve employee movements that require their approval in the system. These activities were found to be successful in achieving the teams objectives and highlighted the importance of establishing validation process and managers involvement in ensuring employee data were implemented in the system. |
