Description
Summary:The major purpose of this study was to be able to propose a strong and effective guidance program for the high school department of Jose Rizal College. At the time of this writing, the guidance program has not yet been as organized and as functional as it should ideally be. Hence the question of its efficiency and effectivity has come into the foreground. To have a solid foundation for the proposal, surveys were conducted o n both the high school faculty member and on all the high school students enrolled in all different year levels. From the results gathered, it was found out that the top priority concern of all students where on matters dealing with their academics. Personal problems ranked only second to this. The survey administered to the faculty, which was a survey on their attitude on guidance yielded an encouraging result; they all think and feel the need for a more relevant, organized, and effective guidance program. Equally, the interviews conducted among the top officers of the college revealed the same: they are enthusiastic and eager to support and be behind a dynamic guidance program for the college.
