Description
Summary:This paper aims to present the AD5270 test development process specifically on the methodology of analog and mixed-signal testing. The AD5270 digiPOT is a low power, single channel, 10-bits digitally controlled resistor (digipot) with less than 1% end-to-end resistor tolerance error and 50- time programmable memory (50-TP). This is the first low voltage (2.7 to 5.5) device to have this resistor tolerance characteristics. These devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as a mechanical rheostat with enhanced resolution, solid state reliability, and superior low temperature coefficient performance. This paper together with an oral report will be presented to the graduate school of Engineering faculty as a requirement to complete the course of Master of Engineering program. As a Test Engineer in Analog Devices this will also serve as a documentation on my practicum project related to my job responsibilities.
