Questionnaires were distributed to 600 high school students and 176 administrators and teachers. In addition, 33 school personnel including 5 assistant principals, 3 discipline officers, 5 senior counselors, and 20 homeroom advisers were interviewed. The findings show that the most common forms of bullying are teasing, name-calling, spreading rumors, and being left out on purpose while threatening, hitting, stealing, and harassing sexually rarely happen on campuses. Bullying occurs more frequently in the classrooms, at the places where students stay during the recess (e.g., playground, kiosk), at the eating areas, and in the hallway than any others places. School personnel, students and self- admitted victims of bullying usually feel safe in their campuses. A majority of self- admitted victims prefer to confide in a friend, rather than school authorities and family members after being bullied. Moreover, a great number of students believe that administrators and teachers are interested in trying to stop bullying. However, there have not been any formal workshops about bullying for students as well as training on bullying for school personnel up to now.
