This practicum project came up with the useful data in assessing San Pablo Landfill Gas producing capability. The Landfill Assessment output basically covers the following: 1. Physical Data of the Landfill a. Type b. Size c. Waste in Place d. Designed Capacity e. Average Waste Depth f. Year of Filling g. Year of Closure h. Estimate of percent municipal / inert / industrial waste i. LFG collection system; 2. Additional Information a. Landfill Latitude & Longitude b. Quantity of waste generated annually c. Quantity of waste collected per day d. Quantity of waste accepted annually e. Quantity of waste generated per capita f. Waste characteristics The methodology of the practicum project basically monitors the common daily practices in San Pablo Landfill such as daily truck monitoring and identifying waste characteristics. The above information will be beneficial to the production of the landfill gas producing potential of the specific landfill. Information like the waste characteristics and the volume of organic waste is very crucial to the production of methane gas. The practicum project also addresses the program of the USEPA methane to market grant solicitation. If granted, this will entitle the local government of San Pablo to further improve their controlled landfill converting it to sanitary landfill depending on the funding limits.
