Summary:“Filipino time” denotes being tardy, and tardiness has been a perennial problem in all social setting, and school is not an exemption. The so-called “Filipino time” somehow has been adapted by the young generations of today; it was due to this tardiness that the study was conceived. The purpose of the study was to have an in-depth understanding regarding the nature of tardiness, the needs of the tardy students and the effect of tardiness on the Chinese-Filipino students‟ academic achievement, motivation to learn and social relationships with peers, teachers, and family members in the Chinese school. Participants of this study are Chinese-Filipino high school students with age ranging from 13 to 17 years old. Utilizing the outcome study design, the researcher identified the assessed needs of the students and evaluated the effectiveness of the intervention. First phase of the study defined the nature, factors, and effects of tardiness and second phase tested the effectiveness of the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) intervention in reducing tardiness. While in the third phase focuses on the evaluation of the effectiveness of the intervention.
