Compressive behavior of fire-damaged RC columns repaired with CFRP wraps
This study focused on the investigation of the compressive behavior of fire-damaged RC column repaired with CFRP wraps. A total of 21 square RC columns with cross-section 150mm x 150mm and height 500mm were fabricated and tested to failure under compressive loading. Three classifications of columns...

A total of 21 square RC columns with cross-section 150mm x 150mm and height 500mm were fabricated and tested to failure under compressive loading. Three classifications of columns were considered: control, fire-damaged, and CFRP-repaired RC columns. The control RC specimens served as the reference to evaluate: the strength decrease in fire-damaged RC specimens which were exposed to 300°C fire for one and two hours; and the strength restoration of employing partial and full wrapping repair technique in CFRP-repaired RC specimens. Based on experiment results, CFRP wraps as a repair material could enhance the strength and ductility of fire-damaged RC column. The strength restoration is more pronounced with an increase in volumetric ratio as displayed by CFRP full wrapping technique compared to that of CFRP partial wrapping. An analytical model is proposed and presented to predict the confined compressive strength of the CFRP-repaired RC column using regression analysis derived from experimental results. 2011-08-01T07:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/6090 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etd_masteral/article/13050/viewcontent/CDTG004979_P.pdf Master's Theses English Animo Repository Carbon fiber-reinforced plastics—Fire testing Civil Engineering |
