Summary: | Over the years, the district offices of DPWH have been mandated to submit a copy of the materials source map to its regional offices and to the Bureau of Research and Standards. However, the existing materials map of Bulacan 2nd district engineering office only involve manual pinning of the plant’s location on the blue print map without providing the exact location and its distance from project location. The inaccuracy of the location of the source of materials usually result to less economic project implementation and prolonged construction duration. Also, this inaccuracy of the location makes it hard for the district office to implement quality assurance and control to its project. It is for these reasons that an updated and advance mapping of material sources map using QGIS is timely and necessary. |
